Human Papilloma Virus

If there is one kind of ailment or skin disorder that knows no boundaries and effects just about anyone, it would be the common wart. No matter what your age, skin type or profession, there is a chance that you will get one of these at some point in your life. To better understand common warts, it is a great idea to find out a little bit more about them.

Common Warts are caused by the HPV virus, also known as the Human Papilloma Virus. There are many other types of warts that may be found on various parts of the body. Plantar warts are found on the feet and can cause great discomfort when walking, even if the individual’s shoes are not tight fitting. If you know anything about HPV viruses, then you know that this is the virus that can also cause genital warts. This virus causes warts to appear on the genital area of both males and females. There are various types of warts that may appear on different parts of the skin. If you find that you have a common wart, then there is most likely not a cause for alarm, as they are normally not harmful.

A common wart is usually found on the hands. You may notice that it is close to one of your fingernails, especially on areas that may be dry or cracked. Some of them may have a bit of a bumpy appearance and a few people will even notice black dots. Because of their shape, some of these warts can often times get caught on your clothing or even gloves when you are trying to put them on.

Knowing that there are many different ways that common warts can be taken care of, especially if you are someone who has them, can be good news. There are a few treatments that can be purchased over the counter that can work, but unfortunately not all of them do. There are also all-natural remedies that many people have used to remove these unsightly bumps. While these types of remedies, including those that are over the counter medications, can be very helpful, if you find that they are not working for you, then it may be time to visit a physician, as they have methods to remove them permanently.
